Coronavirus in Scotland: 36 new deaths in 24 hours as daily cases still above 1,000

A total of 36 deaths have been recorded in Scotland with a further 1,118 testing positive for Covid-19.

Of the new cases, 400 are in Greater Glasgow and Clyde, 218 are in Lanarkshire and 120 are in Lothian.

To date, 92 people are in intensive care with recently confirmed Covid-19 and 1,198 people and being treated in hospital having contracted the virus.

During the week ending November 14, 7,807 people tested positive for the first time with 1,118 postive cases confirmed yesterday (Saturday).

The total number of deaths so far in Scotland now stands at 3,280 while confirmed cases have reached 80,135 since the pandemic hit in March this year.
