Coronavirus in Scotland: 30 new deaths as country records more than 800 daily cases

A total of 858 people have tested positive for the virus as the country records 30 new deaths in the last 24 hours.

So far, 109,296 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Scotland since the start of the outbreak, according to the Scottish Government.

To date, 1,012 people being treated in hospital having tested for coronavirus which is 19 less people than the day before, and 50 people are being cared for in intensive care, one up from the day before.

With today’s new recorded deaths, the country’s death toll stands at 4, 203.
