Coronavirus in Scotland: 245 new Covid-19 cases but no further deaths recorded

The Scottish Government has released the latest figures on Covid-19 cases, deaths, and hospitalisations in the last 24-hours.

There were 245 new confirmed cases of coronavirus in Scotland in the last 24 hours, according to new data published by the Scottish Government this afternoon.

It brings the total number of people who have tested positive for Covid-19 in Scotland since the start of the pandemic to 24,371.

There were no new deaths of people who had tested positive for the virus in the last 28 days, meaning the total for that figure remains 2,505.

The number of patients in hospital with confirmed or suspected coronavirus stands at 63, nine of whom were in intensive care units across Scotland.

Since March 5, 4,341 people treated in hospital for Covid-19 have been discharged.

•NHS Ayrshire & Arran – 1 new case

•NHS Borders – 5 new cases

•NHS Dumfries & Galloway – 4 new cases

•NHS Fife – 23 new cases

•NHS Forth Valley – 12 new cases

•NHS Grampian – 20 new cases

•NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde – 60 new cases

•NHS Highland – 8 new cases

•NHS Lanarkshire – 49 new cases

•NHS Lothian – 53 new cases

•NHS Orkney – 0 new cases

•NHS Shetland – 0 new cases

•NHS Tayside – 10 new cases

•NHS Western Isles – 0 new cases
