McFadden said: “At a time when so many of us feel powerless to help those affected by the Corona pandemic, Keith and I feel honoured that we are able to donate profits from our upcoming single to Age UK, helping them to support our older generation at such a difficult and distressing time.

"I hope hearing this new take on the song will bring a smile, and that the donated profits can support those who need it most.”

Laurie Boult, the Fundraising Director at Age UK, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to Boyzlife for their support through You Needed Me.

"Music is so important during this exceptionally challenging time as it can really lift our spirits, so why not share this song with someone you love and show that you care about older people at the same time.

She added: "This is a period of great anxiety for everyone, but especially for older people and their loved ones.

"Age UK is determined to be there for older people who need our help and especially for those who have no one else to turn to in this time of crisis."

You Needed Me is the first release from Boyzlife's forthcoming debut album, Strings Attached, which is due for release May 29.
