12 more positive COVID cases linked to Fife care home

A further 12 people linked to a Fife care home have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total number of cases to 37.

The outbreak at Craigie House Care Home, Crossgates, was confirmed by NHS Fife.

Visiting to the home remains suspended.

NHS Fife’s health protection team and the Fife Health and Social Care Partnership continue to work alongside Fife Council’s environmental health department to support to the management of the care home and offer advice to reduce further transmission of the virus.

In an update, NHS Fife said: “It is extremely important that those intending to visit residents in any care home refrain from doing so if they feel unwell or have any of the known symptoms of COVID-19, such as a high temperature; a new, continuous cough; or a loss or change to the sense of smell or taste.”

Anyone experiencing the well-established symptoms of COVID-19 should immediately self-isolate and arrange a test
