Coronavirus in Scotland: 764 new Covid-19 cases and four more deaths confirmed in past 24 hours

A further 764 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Scotland in the past 24 hours and four more people have died after testing positive.

Scottish Government statistics released on Saturday showed 191 people were in hospital with recently confirmed Covid-19 and 23 people in intensive care.

The 764 cases represent 12.4 percent of all newly tested individuals.

Of the new cases, 299 were in the Greater Glasgow and Clyde health board area with 152 in NHS Lanarkshire and 143 in NHS Lothian.
