Award for MS support

THE MS Therapy Centre, a facility in Edinburgh that supports people with multiple sclerosis, has been awarded an Investing in Volunteers award.

The centre, which relies heavily on volunteers, offers regular treatment for more than 200 members with MS. The award recognises good practice in volunteer management.

Cathy Kirk, centre manager, said: “We’re delighted to have been awarded the Investing in Volunteers standard, which recognises the importance we place on volunteers.”

In addition to operating the centre’s oxygen therapy chamber and complementary therapies, volunteers also help with IT support, bookkeeping and fundraising.
