292 tourists settle holiday illness claim

A GROUP of 292 holidaymakers have settled their damages claims over bouts of gastric illness they suffered during holidays in the Dominican Republic in 2005 and 2006.

The claimants, who included 39 children, had brought High Court proceedings against tour operators TUI UK and Thomas Cook Tour Operations.
