Stand-off Brandon Thomson is to leave Glasgow Warriors.

The 25-year-old will return to his native South Africa to sign for Toyota Cheetahs on March 1.

“I’m really excited to be heading back to South Africa,” Thomson told glasgowwarriors.org.

“I’ve loved my time at Warriors. It’s going to be tough saying goodbye to an amazing club with an awesome family culture and some pretty amazing fans.”

Thomson last played for Glasgow in the 10-7 defeat by Edinburgh at BT Murrayfield on January 2.
