TV slot for breakdancers

BREAKDANCERS from a West Lothian Primary School are to show off their dance moves on TV.

Twenty-three boys at Mid Calder Primary signed up to the school's breakdancing initiative earlier this year and will now show the moves they have learned on national TV.

The innovative school programme was set up as a pilot to promote motivation.

A crew from Sky News plans to visit the school this week to film the primary seven boys in action with their dance teacher, John Edmiston.

Headteacher Alan Girdwood set up the initiative, which is part of the school's Curriculum for Excellence programme.
