Top job for bully expert

AN anti-bullying expert has been appointed to the top post at Edinburgh University’s faculty of education.

Professor Pamela Munn, director of the Anti-Bullying Network, is to become head of the Moray House School of Education in August.

The move will coincide with the restructuring of the university.

Prof Munn, who joined Moray House in 1994, is recognised as one of the country’s leading experts in truancy, bullying and exclusion.

She was also a consultant to the Scottish Executive on the new community schools initiative.

Prof Munn said: "We need first-class teachers to enable the Government’s ambitious policies to be realised."
