Students in the Mood for Space Vixens

PERFORMANCE arts students are to stage a musical set in a futuristic cabaret tonight at Mood nightclub in Edinburgh.

Saucy Jack and the Space Vixens will feature Telford College students from the final year of the professional stage dance and musical theatre courses.

The show was created in 1995 for the Edinburgh Festival, and has been performed in venues from West End theatres to Victorian railway arches.

Director and choreographer Chris Kidd said: "Our students have studied a wide range of techniques and disciplines to provide them with the skills to develop confidence in pursuing a career in musicals, cabaret, commercial dance and music videos.

"It is the first time that Telford's students will have performed a site-specific musical rather than performing at a theatre.

"We hope audiences will be impressed and enthralled."

Tickets are 10 for the performance, which starts at 7pm.
