Parent council makes play for upgrades

PARENTS and pupils at Pentland Primary have launched a fundraising drive to improve their school playground.

After receiving a brand new building in 2007, the school's parent council has been working hard to bring the playground up to the same standard, but needs an injection of cash to take it to the next level.

Already it has raised enough funds to buy a playhouse for the nursery playground, a pirate ship in the lower school playground and a wooden assault course in the upper school playground.

The parents are holding two more fundraising events to ensure that their good work continues. The first is a quiz night on 21 May and the second is a summer fair on 5 June.
