New Telford principal is awarded OBE

THE newly-appointed principal of Telford College has received the OBE for his services to further and higher education in the Queen's birthday honours.

Miles Dibsdall, who joined the college in April from his previous role as principal of New College Stamford, Lincolnshire, has more than 14 years of senior management experience within the further education sector.

He said: "I am delighted to receive this honour.

"It is a celebration of 22 years in education working with talented colleagues, learners and communities. This award is a tribute to them."

Mr Dibsdall will formally receive his OBE at a ceremony at Buckingham Palace later in the year.
