New course lays foundations in housing

A NEW course designed to meet growing demands for housing in Scotland is being launched at West Lothian College.

The Chartered Institute of Housing Level 4 Certificate and Diploma in Housing will launch next month and is aimed at professionals looking to learn more and develop their careers in the diverse sector. Daniel Evans, sales executive at West Lothian College, said: “Housing is very much a growth sector and it’s an industry which is evolving.

“This course will enable professionals within the industry to gain a broader understanding of those changes and develop a vast array of skills from law to economics and diversity to research.”

Spread over two years, the course is designed to provide flexibility with a mixture of online support and workshops.

Students can choose between full day tutorials at West Lothian College or video-link lessons if they opt for distanced learning.
