Learn and earn with a Strathclyde MBA
There is still time to make an application to study the acclaimed Strathclyde Business School’s MBA programme starting this September.
The triple accredited business school, one of only 89 in the world (2018) to be accredited by AMBA, ACSB and EQUIS, was ranked ninth in the UK and first in Scotland, according to the Financial Times European Business School rankings published in December.

Should I study part-time, full-time, or flexibly?
For those who have the financial wherewithal and the desire to take a year away from the workplace, a full time option would suit them perfectly, but for some people taking a year out of work to complete the MBA might seem a risk in a competitive job market. For them, being able to study whilst staying in their job is the ideal solution.
As well as full-time, Strathclyde Business School offers an MBA which can be studied via part time or with flexible options, allowing students to gain a valuable degree as well as continuing in their current career.
Studying the MBA part time or flexibly allows participants to implement their learning straight away, providing benefits to employers and employees alike. It is offered mainly through evening class once weekly, with two compulsory weekend schools, and six intensive weekend seminars spread over the period of study.
The full time programme is studied over 12 months in Glasgow amongst a group of international peers and involves nine months of participation in classes, group work and personal development processes and three months for the MBA project.
Strathclyde full-time MBA graduate Jay Manton used his MBA to switch track in his career and move from engineering to starting up his own business venture. “Doing an MBA gave me the time to reflect on who I am and what I wanted my life to look like after I had established a new career,” he said.
“After some soul searching, I knew I wanted to be in the outdoor adventure recreation industry and the MBA helped me influence my existing skills from my construction experience to excel in a new industry.
“The SBS MBA provided me with some fundamentals tools that were needed to bolster areas that my previous experience was lacking.”
The flexible learning option allows individuals to direct the pace of their own studies while providing the level of support that an internationally recognised school can offer. It offers a balance between self-study and group interaction. Peer interaction and group learning is encouraged, through workshops and seminars which gives those on the programme the opportunity to meet with their peers.
Current part time MBA student Laura Boyd is a project management analyst and opted for the part time route.
