Heriot-Watt honours trio

BARBARA HULANICKI, designer and founder of iconic store Biba, BBC journalist Robert Peston and George Kerr, Britain's only 10th Dan judo master, are among this year's honorary graduates at Heriot-Watt University.

Ms Hulanicki was set to be awarded a doctorate of letters today in recognition of her outstanding contribution to fashion. Mr Peston will also be awarded a doctorate of letters, while Mr Kerr will be awarded a doctorate of the university.
