Education chiefs gather for talks

A MAJOR two-day conference on children’s education has seen more than 150 delegates gather in the Capital.

The city council’s 11th Early Years Conference, at Easter Road Stadium, finishes today and includes a variety of seminars on health and wellbeing, literacy and supporting children with challenging behaviour.

Councillor Paul Godzik, the city’s education leader, said: “We are committed to providing every child in Edinburgh with the best start in life.

“In addition to this, we want to give them a wide and varied educational experience and, by training our staff regularly, we are in a position to deliver up-to-date best practice.”
