Entier, which was founded in Aberdeen seven years ago by chief executive Peter Bruce, said it was on track to achieve annualised sales of £63m for 2015-16, an increase of 53 per cent on the previous financial year.

The firm now operates 56 sites across 23 countries and has expanded to provide catering and facilities management for businesses and education establishments in the Aberdeen area, serving more than 500 meals a day to nurseries. It also has three “Fresh” retail outlets which operate in key business locations in the Granite City.

Bruce said: “Our journey from a small North-east start-up to one of the largest independent contract catering and support services companies in Scotland, has had its challenges.

“However, I am proud that our 750-strong team now make millions of meals each year from more than 20 countries.”

He said the company had invested £1m in a purpose-built production kitchen and training facility last year, while also strengthening its management team to support new contract wins. Some 70 per cent of its fresh produce is Scottish sourced.
