From next month, the Bridge of Allan-based firm’s produce will be stocked in the chain’s stores throughout Scotland, while its Gold Top Jersey milk will hit the shelves in 500 stores across the UK.

Managing director Robert Graham said: “Graham’s The Family Dairy works in partnership with more than 90 farmers so our extended relationship with Morrisons guarantees that more consumers have access to milk and butter products from Scotland.”

David Gardner, Morrisons’ managing director for Scotland, added: “We believe Graham’s can provide a great alternative offer to our Scottish customers. With the Scottish dairy industry facing challenging times, this is great news for the sector and reaffirms our support for Scottish food and drink.”

Meanwhile, Montrose-based fruit and vegetable company Stirfresh has landed a £250,000 contract to supply Aldi’s 58 Scottish stores.

Co-owner Andrew Stirling said: “With this deal, we’ll supply about 10 per cent of our production to Aldi. As a family-run farm, there’s a great sense of satisfaction when we see our produce on shelves across the country.”
