In the last 24 hours, 1,003 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Scotland while another six deaths were recorded.

1,941 people are in hospital with recently confirmed coronavirus and 143 people are in intensive care.

So far, 566,269 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and 7,794 have received their second dose.

To date, 6,106 people have died from coronavirus since the start of the pandemic in Scotland.

With the additional 1,003 cases recorded today, the total number of people that have tested positive for the virus in Scotland is 179,685.
