Coronavirus in Scotland: 827 new cases reported in a day

A total of 827 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported since yesterday, new figures revealed today.

The number of people being vaccinated continues to rise.

Data released by the Scottish Government shows 17,955 new tests for COVID-19 that reported results – 5.5% of these were positive.

Five more people have died after testing positive for the virus.

1,132 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19

1,431,942 people have received the first dose of the Covid vaccination and 35,479 have received their second.
