Changes made to Rangers' SPFL trip to St Johnstone later this month

Rangers’ match with St Johnstone will be subject to an early kick off later this month.

The match had been scheduled for a 7.45pm start at McDiarmid Park on April 21. However the game in Perth will now start at the earlier time of 7pm at the request of both clubs.

The midweek fixture could prove to be a preview of that weekend’s Scottish Cup fixtures and falls between the fourth and fifth rounds of the competition.

Rangers meet Celtic on Saturday April 17, in a last 16 tie at Ibrox , kicking off at 4pm live on Premier Sports. The winner of the Old Firm clash will progress to the competition’s quarter final where they are already lined up to meet the winner of St Johnstone v Clyde, which will be played at 3pm the same Saturday.

Saints have met Steven Gerrard’s side three times already this season and lost all three, 3-0, 0-3 and 1-0.
