Wood Group signs hat-trick of deals

Energy service firm Wood Group has notched up a hat-trick of deals worth a total of $20 million (£13m) as the Aberdeen-based business extends its work in Denmark, Nigeria and Thailand.

Wood Group’s gas turbine division has won a $15m maintenance contract covering two power stations run by the Sime Darby Power Company in Laem Chabang, Thailand.

Leventis Overseas has awarded the firm a $3m contract to supply three gas turbines for use in Nigeria, building on previous work at two of Leventis’ glass bottle manufacturing plants in the African state.

Wood Group has also completed the inspection for Dong Energy of gas turbines at its Ørsted power station, situated at Sydhavnen in Copenhagen, Denmark. The work was valued at $2.5m.
