Wood Group in deal with US giant

Wood Group has entered into a strategic alliance with US giant Pratt & Whitney to jointly service industrial gas turbines.

Under the alliance, Aberdeen- based Wood Group’s GTS division has been granted an exclusive ten-year licence for sale and distribution of Pratt & Whitney manufactured “combustion hardware, hot gas path components and high technology repair services”. No contract value was disclosed. Wood Group GTS boss Mark Papworth said: “We have a track record of service innovation and lowering the cost of ownership for gas turbine operators.”
