Windfarm move from Triodos

A UK-based ethical bank fund has launched an
£8 million public share issue offering investors the chance to own Scottish windfarms.

Triodos Renewables, a fund with more than 5,000 shareholders, is run by Dutch-owned Triodos Bank. The issue requires a minimum investment of £570, at £1.90 per share.

The fund invests in a number of on-shore renewable energy projects including the Beochlich project in Argyll, the Dunfermline project in Fife and the Sigurd single wind turbine project at Burgar Hill on the Orkney Islands.

Proceeds from the offer will be invested directly into building onshore wind power assets to expand the fund’s portfolio of renewable energy projects in the UK, the bank said.
