Web developer spins plans for expansion

A GLASGOW-based web development agency is to ramp up its expansion plans, which include franchising across the UK, after securing fresh funding.

The injection of capital comes as Organic Digital, which was founded in 2006, reports its best-ever quarter of trading and finalises a “slew” of new contracts. It is forecasting a sharp rise in sales to £400,000, up from £150,000 in the current year.

Managing director Graeme Kerr said the near-six-figure investment would trigger a “major gearing up” of the core web design and digital marketing business, and added: “This outside investment will also create added impetus for our expanding franchising operation. It is one of these moments when everything is falling into place.”

The firm, which currently has four staff, is to take on an additional three people, including a business development director.

Organic Digital recently passed what it describes as a “major milestone” after having its franchise scheme accredited by the British Franchise Association.
