Unite gets approval for Aberdeen student project

Student accommodation specialist Unite has received planning approval for its £20 million project in the centre of Aberdeen.

Work on the redevelopment of the listed Causewayend Primary School is expected to begin next year, with completion due in time for the 2016-17 academic year. The site will provide accommodation for 399 students.

Richard Simpson, managing director of property at Unite Students, said: “This is our fifth site in Aberdeen, where we already provide a home for over 1,300 students.
