Tiso takes wraps off revamped flagship Leith store

A new cycling section and cafe will be at the heart of a revamped Tiso outdoor experience store in Leith, Edinburgh, when it reopens its doors today, six weeks after a small fire on the premises.

Chief executive Chris Tiso was set to welcome customers with the help of his mother Maude, who founded the business with her late husband Graham in 1962.

Sports and outdoor retailer JD Sports Fashion acquired a controlling stake in the firm in November 2013.

“The small electrical fire in February created smoke damage meaning all of our stock had to be removed,” Tiso said.

“The blank canvas inspired us to make some positive changes and we hope customers will be impressed by our new offer.”
