Star performer keeps its cool

Star Refrigeration, the Glasgow-headquartered industrial refrigeration engineer, has bucked the economic downturn to report another year of record sales and a rise in profits.

Accounts just filed with Companies House show that Star generated turnover of 44 million in 2010, up 17 per cent on 2009's record result. Pre-tax profit rose from 825,000 to 1.2m. During the year, the group's headcount increased by 14 to 352.
