Standard Life's Hepburn joins Cornelian

CORNELIAN Asset Managers, the Edinburgh-based fund manager, has made a second key appointment.

The firm has brought in Gillian Hepburn, from Standard Life, as associate director in its intermediary business.

Her move follows Hector Kilpatrick's appointment in April, when he left SVM Asset Management to become Cornelian's chief investment officer.

Chief operating officer John Jackson said: "Gillian Hepburn has more than 20 years experience of the independent financial adviser sector and understands what is required to grow that market. We are delighted to have secured someone with such an outstanding track record in working with IFAs."

Hepburn was previously a business development manager at Standard Life, specialising in "wrap" products for IFAs in Scotland and Northern Ireland. Wrap platforms allow IFAs to view clients' various investments all at the same time.

Cornelian was founded almost ten years ago with 40 million of assets under management, and has grown to manage 390m.
