Rural businesses team up to broaden services

TWO businesses at the heart of rural Scotland are teaming up to provide a broader service for their customers.

Craig Wilson, a long established auctioneer with bases in Ayr and Newton Stewart, has agreed a joint venture with land agent John A Neil Rural, to deliver land agency services to its customers on rural property matters. Jim Craig, managing director of Craig Wilson, said: "We are delighted to have agreed this joint venture which will deliver the broad range of land services through our two markets.

"Our customers have increasingly diverse needs on property matters and John Neil and his team are able to provide specialists, whether it is valuations, property sales, renewable energy, planning or whatever.

"They are particularly good at adding value to farming and land business assets through quality service and independent advice. This chimes very much with our own experience in livestock marketing, and we look forward to working with them."
