Rolls-Royce wins £15m Norway ship deal

ENGINEERING firm Rolls-Royce has won a £15 million contract to provide engines and equipment for a pair of offshore support vessels operated by Island Offshore.

The ships will be built in Norway and are expected to be delivered in the second half of 2013. The deal could be extended to include a further four boats.

Rolls-Royce said it had worked with Island Offshore for more than a decade and had already built 40 boats for the company.
