Rock Solid progress with US licensing

SHARES in Rock Solid Imaging (RSI), the Aim-quoted, Houston-based company that emerged from Aberdeen’s Hydrocarbon Offshore Mapping, rose yesterday after it unveiled a $500,000 (£324,000) deal.

Some of RSI’s software will be licensed to “a major North American software vendor”, allowing it to be used by oil and gas drillers searching for resources under the sea bed.

Richard Cooper, RSI’s chief executive, said: “This licence will allow the benefits of RSI’s technology to be accessed by a wide range of exploration and production companies.”
