Recruitment firm pushes south as sales soar

An Edinburgh-based recruitment firm that specialises in the property and construction sectors has weathered the industry downturn to post record revenues and open a branch south of the Border.

C & P Recruitment has forecast a 49 per cent increase in sales to £7.5 million for the current financial year.

The firm, which was founded in 2004 and has angel investor and recruitment guru Paul Atkinson on its board, focuses on permanent and temporary hires from architects to construction site staff. It has now opened for business in Newcastle, supplementing its HQ in the Scottish capital and an office in Inverness.
