Punch to sell more Scottish pubs

A DOZEN Scottish pubs have been put up for sale as industry heavyweight Punch Taverns enters the latest stage in its on-going restructuring programme.

In total, the company has 65 premises up for grabs across the UK, including both newly-available sites and venues which have been reduced in price. Punch has sold 758 pubs since it began downsizing in 2011, raising £193 million.

The latest tranche of properties are the first of 400 that Punch expects to sell in the current financial year, and includes Scottish pubs such as the Circle Bar in Glasgow, Bellfield Tavern in Kilmarnock, the Crossed Keys Inn in Selkirk and the Gore-bridge Inn in Midlothian.
