Pulsant dials up data deal with Multrees

Cloud computing firm Pulsant has cemented its relationship with investment administration specialist Multrees.

The company, which has ten data centres across the UK – including Newbridge and South Gyle in Edinburgh – worked with Multrees to switch some of its service and applications onto the cloud and provide additional data capacity.

Pulsant had already been providing the financial services firm – which has offices in Edinburgh and London – with network connectivity, and Multrees chief technology officer Jaco Cebula said it has also selected the cloud provider’s disaster recovery service.

“We have our own IT department, but didn’t want to get involved in running our own data centre or managing services on a day-to-day basis,” said Cebula.

“I’d worked with Pulsant in a previous role and was familiar with the company’s capabilities. After investigating our options, consolidating our infrastructure services with Pulsant made the most sense.”

Pulsant also counts the Scottish Association for Mental Health and Edinburgh International Festival among its clients and is the largest data centre provider in Scotland.
