£1.2m deals boost for Clyde Process

CLYDE Process Solutions (CPS), the industrial group chaired by Scots tycoon Jim McColl, has secured new contracts in the United States and South Africa worth a total of £1.2 million.

CPS's North American operation has won a 700,000 order for a pneumatic conveying system for a facility in Maryland.

Its South African arm has secured a 500,000 deal from "one of the world's major integrated and diversified chemical companies" to supply a conveying system to transport limestone.

CPS chief executive Alex Stewart said: "Our order book and order intake levels have steadily increased since the turn of 2010."
