ProServ pumps up job hopes

OIL and gas technology firm ProServ has unveiled plans to hire a further 50 staff for its subsea testing and assembly facility near Echt, in Aberdeenshire, which was opened yesterday by First Minister Alex Salmond.

The latest jobs come on top of the 60 already created at the site earlier this year, which have taken the Aberdeen-based company’s head count to more than 800 at 21 sites in ten countries.

ProServ chief executive David Lamont also unveiled plans to pump a further £900,000 into the site by buying more equipment to cope with its increasing workload.

Lamont said: “We anticipate recruiting up to 50 people this year, particularly engineers to manage our order pipeline and projected workload and adding to our project management team.”
