Plexus Holdings wins £1.15m order for North Sea wells

PLEXUS Holdings, the Aberdeen-based oil and gas engineering firm, yesterday won orders worth £1.15 million from Talisman Energy for equipment for two wells in the Norwegian North Sea.

The announcement came just a week after Plexus won a contract with Brunei Shell to supply well-heads in a deal worth £2m over the next 18 months.

Chief executive Ben van Bilderbeek said the company was continuing to secure orders from both existing and new customers, especially in the Norwegian exploration market. “Not only does this highlight the level of current activity in the oil and gas sector but also the growing awareness among leading operators of our equipment,” he said.

Shares in Plexus closed up 9.5p at 150p. Its market value has now more than doubled over the past 12 months.
