The group, based in Buckinghamshire, said it will create 20 jobs at Springkerse Industrial Estate, where it has concluded a lease on 20,000sq ft of space. Nampak, which has an existing plant in Bellshill, said the new facility would allow it to take advantage of opportunities in Stirlingshire’s food and drink sector.

It will also create “a platform to support the growth of Nampak’s Scottish customers, in particular Graham’s The Family Dairy, at its proposed new dairy facility at the Hill of Drip farm in Stirling”, the company said.

The Nampak plant will be financed by Graham’s via its proposals to build 600 houses at Airthrey Green in Bridge of Allan, a project that has received some 400 objections from locals opposed to the greenbelt development. A decision by Stirling Council is expected later this month.
