The facility is strategically located between Glasgow and Edinburgh keeping travel costs and time for delegates at a minimum.

Fully equipped with four training rooms, the centre can accommodate both large and small groups for training, seminars and meetings - including health and safety training, respiratory training and face fit testing. The Safety Centre is designed to provide delegates with a realistic, practical training environment and offers purpose-built training facilities. The facility which cost a whopping £500,000 to build, boasts a 20-metre-high outdoor mast for Working at Height Training and an internal confined space training labyrinth including more than 30 metres of traverse capability and a variety of entry points.

The Linlithgow centre will now join the three other safety centres in Enfield in London, Stafford in the Midlands and Warrington in the North West, in minimising workplace risks via practising in safe yet realistic working environments. Training is essential for workers looking to work in high-risk, high-hazard workplaces and this type of ‘hands-on’ learning is now a requirement according to the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER).

Jamie Sadler, Commercial Director of Arco Professional Safety Services, said: “You can prepare for the risks you know about. But what about those you don’t? We’re on a mission to bring about real, long-term cultural change. The launch is a celebration for all us at Arco because the bigger our geographical presence is; the more organisations we can keep safe.”

Specialising in working at height, confined spaces and respiratory management, Arco Professional Safety Services aims to deliver solutions for those working in situations with the highest risk of serious injury or irreversible damage to health across the UK. The Northern facility will now ensure that Scottish high-risk workers can also get home safe every night and are equipped with the knowledge they need.
