Namibia delegation books in for hotel grading tour

TOURISM chiefs from Namibia will begin a tour of Scotland today as they prepare to set up their own accreditation scheme for hotels and tourist attractions.

Namibia is the latest country to learn from VisitScotland's quality assurance scheme, the first of its kind in the world.

Guests from Namibia will accompany VisitScotland's advisers as they visit hotels and tourist attractions in Aviemore, Inverness, Pitlochry and Perthshire over the next ten days.

The African nation – famous for the Skeleton Coast – is preparing its own grading system in time for this summer's World Cup in neighbouring South Africa.

Swedish officials will also visit this month.
