On the move: New finance chief lands at Cyberhawk

He joins the Livingston-based unmanned aerial vehicle specialist at a time of significant expansion in the wake of a £1.3 million investment from Scottish Equity Partners and the Scottish Investment Bank 18 months ago.

McIntyre said: “The company has grown quickly in the short time since its inception, and its innovative solution to inspections and surveys is being rapidly adopted around the globe.”

Cyberhawk counts the likes of Shell among its clients and Jill Reid – a former senior legal counsel at the oil major – has been appointed as a partner to lead the oil and gas team of law firm Maclay Murray & Spens (MMS) in Aberdeen.

Reid, previously general counsel and company secretary at Dana Petroleum, said: “These are challenging times and legal advisers need to be even more aware of clients’ priorities. MMS is building an oil and gas legal team of experienced lawyers, which includes several senior individuals who have worked in-house and who know what it feels like to manage legal risks, alongside the technical, financial and other demands of companies.”

Edinburgh-based pensions consultancy The Lang Cat has professed to feeling “almost childishly excited” to have appointed Mike Barrett as consulting director.

Principal Mark Polson said Barrett, who joins the firm in June having spent 18 years at Old Mutual Wealth, most recently as platform marketing manager, “has a deep and highly creditable darkness in his character, and will fit in nicely”.

New Zealand-born Pauline Wright is off to pastures new at Graham’s The Family Dairy, where she takes on the role of business development manager.

Managing director Robert Graham said: “She will support Mark McQuade, our newly-appointed commercial director, on business development concentrating initially on the launch of our new range of ice creams.”
