She will work with managing director Laurna Woods and digital marketing director David Reid to further develop the agency’s ­digital communications offering. “As well as working with existing digital clients, Jessica’s remit will be to grow the digital content side of our business,” said Woods. McAndrew joins Beattie from Big Partnership.

Property consultancy JLL has appointed Alasdair Barrie as associate director within its valuation team in Edinburgh. With eight years’ industry experience, chiefly in loan security and portfolio valuations, Barrie is the ­latest addition to the valuation team, led by director Eric Stevens, who recently joined from Bilfinger GVA. Barrie’s association with JLL began during his time at Heriot-Watt University in 2007, where he graduated with first-class honours after receiving JLL mentorship from lead director for Scotland Alasdair Humphery.

Legal firm Pinsent Masons has ­further strengthened its real estate team in Aberdeen with the appointment of commercial property specialist Val McDougall. She joins the firm as a consultant after 16 years with Raeburn Christie Clark & Wallace where she was a partner.

Dougie McDonald, a senior ­member of the transport planning team at development and infrastructure consultancy Peter Brett Associates, has been made a partner in the practice, and will now oversee operations for PBA’s offices in Scotland. He joined PBA as a director of transport planning in May 2014 from Systra, and became an equity director in January of last year.

Martin Aitken & Co, the Glasgow-based firm of chartered accountants and business advisers, has appointed Euan Ferries to lead its corporate advisory team. Ferries specialises in advising clients on acquisitions and disposals, along with due diligence, valuations and securing funding for expansion. With an extensive network within the SME funding community developed over a 20-plus year career, Ferries also has a successful track record in helping clients to source and secure business grants such as through regional selective assistance.
