Men want iPad over new love, claims study

One in ten single men would rather have an iPad 3 than a new partner, a poll has revealed.

The study found 11 per cent of bachelors would rather get their hands on the recently released gadget than a new love interest.

However, the same was not true for single women, with 84 per cent stating they would prefer to meet a new partner than the tablet.

It appeared to be only the gadget lovers’ top brand Apple that attracted singletons. Just 4 per cent of those surveyed said they would prefer a non-Apple tablet computer, according to the survey by online casino RoxyPalace.

“The Apple product has a wide variety of functions but even the latest version can’t offer some of the things that romance can – but it seems many males are happy to forego this,” said a spokesman.
