McGregor benefits from oil industry growth

Oil and gas recruitment specialist McGregor Consultants is on track to grow its turnover by more than a third this year to almost £20 million as it benefits from buoyant industry conditions.

The Aberdeen firm, which employs 12 people and has more than 50 clients around the world, turned over £16.7 million last year, expected to rise to in excess of £19.5m for the current financial year.

Angie McGregor, left, who founded the business with friend and fellow director Jo McGregor in 2006, said the firm recently expanded into permanent staff placements, such as drilling managers and senior engineers, in addition to its traditional focus on contractors. She added: “We will continue to develop in this area.”
