MacDonald beefs up Helius Energy stake

PERTHSHIRE investor Angus MacDonald yesterday increased his stake in waste-to-heat power plant developer Helius Energy to 17.75 per cent after snapping up a further 850,000 shares.

The purchase by MacDonald, who serves as a non-executive director on the Helius board, takes his holding to more than 23.5 million shares. Helius is building a biomass boiler in Moray, which will burn waste from distilleries to run an animal feed plant.
