London calling for recruitment firm Be-IT

Be-IT Resourcing, the Edinburgh-based IT and digital recruitment firm, is eyeing a move into London and Frankfurt after bolstering its boardroom.

Managing director Gareth Biggerstaff has appointed Kai Murray, a business growth consultant with 30 years’ experience in the UK recruitment sector, as a non-executive director to oversee Be-IT’s ambitious plans.

Biggerstaff said: “We are aiming to have a London presence by the summer and be up and running in the German market within the next 18 months.

“Kai ticks all the boxes and she will assume responsibility for aligning our business strategy and expansion plans in both the short and medium term. We are delighted to have secured someone with such an outstanding reputation in the sector.”

Be-IT also announced the promotion of Alma Kettles to associate director for process and quality, while Stuart Alexander has been named business operational manager.

Senior consultant Ami Islam joins Biggerstaff and Murray in spearheading the drive into the London IT recruitment market, while Owen Howells has been appointed to lay the groundwork for the Frankfurt hub.

Biggerstaff added: “Owen has amassed 15 years specialist experience in the German, Swiss and Austrian recruitment market and he is a welcome addition to our team. The demand for IT specialists is increasing all the time and we see London and Frankfurt as obvious magnets for growing our business.”
