It's all coming up roses for Easydate

Internet dating website Easydate has seen its upward sales trend continue into the second half.

In a brief trading update, the Edinburgh-based firm said revenues in the first nine months of 2010 had grown at more than 30 per cent per quarter.

The figure, which excludes the recent acquisition of US rival Cupid.com, follows news in September of strong growth in the first six months.

Aim-listed Easydate said investment in marketing had increased at more than 30 per cent each quarter, with much of the spend being made in North America, where it is building on the strength of several brands - including Cupid.com.

The firm, whose shares rose 2.5p to 125p, added: "The directors look forward to the end of 2010 with confidence and expect further healthy growth in 2011."
